Below are some Internet resources related to drug and alcohol use issues. I have made an effort to include both abstinence and harm reduction-oriented links. www.nida.nih.gov is a large U.S. federally-sponsored site
www.niaaa.nih.gov is another large government site containing a lot useful information about alcohol abuse
www.ncadi.samhsa.gov is a great place to order free publications related to drug and alcohol issues (sponsored by the U.S. Department of Public Health & Human Services). Excellent resource!
www.well.com/user/woa is an abstinence-based discussion forum created & maintained by Andrew Homer & Dick Dillon, contains links to various resources on the web. Very helpful.
www.hazelden.org is a private 12-step substance abuse treatment center that was opened in rural Minnesota in 1949. Check out their "Thought for the day" and "Alive & Free" newspaper pages.
www.psychnet-uk.com is a private site for "students, professionals or those who want to know more about the psychological sciences." Another excellent locator of internet resources related to various mental health issues, including substance abuse (see right hand side of their index page)
www.erowid.org contains a huge library on many substances and their effects. The site contains graphic information such as images and testimonials that can be triggering for some people.

www.irissoft.com/cccc allsows combined searches such as by zip code and topic. It is an excellent place to look for services.
